Exeter and Plymouth have joined forces to offer you an open play space for emerging and experienced live performance makers who are open to collaboration of traditional and non-traditional practice.

This is an opportunity for us to share in each other’s work and to explore the potential for creating a more regular practical space in Plymouth to share our skills, ideas and needs.

The day will begin with ‘playing’ together led by Mark Laville and the Exeter Performer Playground.

We will then offer the session out to participants to share something of your work/ practice.

Please bring the smallest thing to play with and input into the group, if you wish.  This could simply be one creative exercise, a game, or a brief sharing of something you’re working on.

If you would like to offer something more developed (or longer than 20 minutes), then please let us know by the 17th February. (email emily@barbicantheatre.co.uk)

The end of the day 5pm-7pm will offer the opportunity for discussion and thinking about what the Exeter Performers Playground are doing in Exeter, and what we as practitioners want in Plymouth. We want this session to be artist led, so please have a think before you come.

How can we support each other as artists?

What training opportunities do we need?

What kinds of creative encounters could feed our own practice?

We really hope you can make it. Please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested.

We hope to see you on the 24th.
