Blanched Stories is inspired by the birth of a first child and looks at themes of new motherhood.
Men and woman dance the stories of this empowering, frightening, disorientating, joyous, tiring time. Two musicians play live, singing, beating and strumming the constantly changing rhythms of a sacred journey. And a man with an accent which is hard to place guides us through the evening.
The piece features live music from Beatbox-Blues duo Heymoonshaker, consisting of Youtube star and Uk beatbox championship finalist Dave Crowe, and NME featured Blues Guitarist and vocalist Andy Balcon.
The company has its roots in the Rambert School and features dancers who have worked with some of the top companies from around Europe.

Performing at Flourish will be a fantastic opportunity to increase awareness of the company in the South West. Being a local company, Impermanence Dance Theatre is keen to build and nurture relationships with audiences and institutions throughout the region. The Flourish season is a brilliant and rare opportunity for emerging companies to be supported to perform at an established venue, this is immensely helpful especially in an economic climate such as the one we find ourselves in.
